 Fender 1996 American Standard Jazz Bass in Sonic Blue

This is a Fender Jazz Bass, specifically an American Standard Jazz Bass produced in the late ’90s. It has a rosewood fingerboard and the body is Sonic Blue. All components, tuning machines, wiring, etc., are original.

This bass was produced at the time of Fender celebrating their 50th Anniversary, so this Jazz Bass is also sometimes known as a “50th Anniversary” model due to the commemorative sticker on the back of the headstock.

 There are a few dings here and there on the body, just as any bass would have. I have tried my best to show any of these minimal markings in the photos. The fretboard has been buffed to perfection with #0000 steel wool and given a waxing with Gerlitz Guitar Honey.

The truss rod has been adjusted to provide proper arching of the neck and the intonation on the strings has been reset. New strings have been installed . This bass is ready to play!
