The Danelectro Shorthorn line of guitars are a dual cutaway design, made of mostly popular wood  and they added the use of masonite into their guitars . The original models were introduced in 1959 to replace U guitars they were producing at the time. And were in production until Danelectro closed their factory in 1959.

 This one appears to be the 59DC  Short horn Bass Reissue with two Pickups sold between 1998 and 2001.

These are very sought after popular Bass`s for their great Tone and their funky heavy metal flake finish.
