Practicing Can be boring no matter what skill level you are.
But Sticking with it thru the DulDrums can and will reward you. I Know personally when i practice because I have to , Because I just have to learn a song, or a certain riff or something. It can be boring sometimes, And other times it really rewarding,Thats just the way it goes probably with just about everything. You drag yourself to the practice room and pick up the bass and if you dont feel like doing it, it seems to come out bad also.
So by doing it badly a few times , I found out Its better to try to make it fun somehow, Even at my age its still possible to make it fun.
Make up a game with yourself, Like see how many times you can run thru the riff as fast as possible without a mistake. Try It over and over, Then see how many times you can run thru it without a mistake, Try it over and over, Then see how many times you can run the riff nonstop no breaks in between riffs, Just let one bar run right into the next like they are all connected, Then try seeing how fast you can go without a mistake, Then see how many times you can play it over and over without a mistake.
Do You See What I Just Accomplished?
Bet You Did Not Even Notice
If You Just Did some of those silly games with yourself you should have got in at least a 1/2 hour practice, Now Play Something Fun You Earned it
