This high quality all original Matsumoku bass from the early to mid 70’s sounds great and plays very well.Rare and really is the epitome of the 70’s Japan made copy of this type.These were similar to Lyle , Univox and Aria Basses .
Alembic design pickups .Bass has a nice warm tone . It appears they also upgraded components to compliment the pickups. Bridge has solid brass barrel saddles.
Solid mahogany body and a solid maple neck.Rosewood fretboard.Original tuners. Bass weighs a nice 8 lbs 9 oz.
All original . Neck is nice and straight . This is is a 34 inch scale bass . Nut is 1 9/16″ . Frets real good. Neck finish is in great shape.
Few dents on the back of the neck but not much.Neck feels more jazz like to me. Very nicely shaped.Truss rod adjusts at neck bottom.
Original finish on two piece solid mahogany body has some small chips and dings. Some buckle rash on back.
NO breaks or repairs. No touch ups.All cosmetic stuff.
