This is a superb example of the 1988 Carvin LB90 Fretless bass. With unlined ebony fingerboard, clean surface, no string wear. First year with neck through instead of glued in neck. Only produced in this configuration for one year. Super rare, last year with Carvin two sided ‘Arrow’ headstock, has a small ding on very top in back, not noticeable at all. With original Carvin hardshell case in great shape. This bass is in stellar shape considering that it is 27+ years old. A true testament to the quality of an American built instrument. The control compartment, for a passive bass is amazing. Quality all around. Pots work like they were put in yesterday and old school pick up selector switch will probably outlast the bass, when ever that may be in the next 1000 years, this baby is built that well!!!
A brand new set of D’adario half round strings was just put on her, action and intonation adjusted so she plays like buttah! Plenty of the Mwaaa factor here as well as the Carvin pick ups ad a nice low end growl when you dig into it….
