1976 Carvin P Style Stereo Bass – $800
Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful 1976 Carvin LB70
“Stereo Model” bass guitar!
Aside from a few little dings on the back of the neck, the
bass is in nearly perfect condition.
It playes great and sounds great!
As you can see from the pictures below, this is an extremely
rare stereo model. Hence the two input jacks on the body.
I know it’s hard to see from the pictures due to poor lighting,
but the wood grain is absolutely beautiful as well.
So I snagged an image from the Carvin Museum website,
which shows it a little better than my out door photos. It’s
the one with the dark background.
Here’s a link to the general information about 1976 Carvin
basses on the museum’s website…
And here’s a direct link to the specs for this particular
model. You’ll find the “optional stereo model” details on
the bottom of the description….
Having said all that…
I’ve been doing a lot of research on this bass to find out
what its value might be. But I haven’t had much luck because
it’s a pretty rare find.
Needless to say, I haven’t been able to find any completed
listings on Ebay, nor have I been able to find one of these
for sale on any of the normal music sites to see what they’re
So I took it to Trade Up Music, and they said they’d sell it
for a “minimum” of $800. But they’d put it on their rack and
start at around $1000.
They also informed me that Carvin fans are a bit fanatical
and that if I wanted to hold out for the right buyer, I could
probably get $1200 or more out of it.
Bottom line is that I’m selling it for $800… That’s firm!
I have a merchant account and can accept a credit card payment.
I am not desperate for cash. Nor am I deperate to get rid
of it. I may even use it at my next gig just for kicks.
Editors Notes : This is a first time we have had one of these Infact The first time I have seen one of these. ThePlayer
